On August 31, 2019, Real Madrid's French coach Zinedine Zidane gave a press conference at the Ciudad Real Madrid training ground in Valdebebas, near Madrid, ahead of their Spanish League football match against Villarreal.

Fast forward to the present, Zidane has put Europe's biggest clubs on red alert after admitting that he is unsure whether he will remain at Real Madrid next season.

Having led Real to their 34th La Liga title, their first for two years, last week with a 2-1 victory over Villarreal, Zidane is now only three trophies short of Miguel Munoz's club record 14 pieces of silverware.

His current deal at the Bernabeu lasts until 2022, but he has refused to guarantee that he will be in the dugout next year.

At a press conference, Zidane said, "No-one knows what will happen. I have a contract, I like being here, but you never know what will happen in football. It changes from one day to the next in this sport. I don’t know what will happen in the future."

Real round off their season against Leganes on Sunday, and Zidane has admitted that his players need to find the motivation to win, having already secured the title and a Champions League clash with Manchester City on the horizon.
