On Saturday, July 18, 2020, Cebbie Kokeyo, younger sister of singer Akothee, was set to reveal a lucrative deal between her and the famous Pete's Cafe and Jada Express along Nyangumi Road in Kilimani, Nairobi. However, the event turned out to be a celebration of love as Cebbie's fiancé, Juspus Gentry, proposed to her in a surprise move.
Cebbie, a brand ambassador, PR Strategist, and Virtual Twenty One CEO, heaped praise on Gentry, describing him as the 'best gift from God.' She said, 'We have been dating for a year... He is calm, focused and collected... May the good Lord see me through the new journey,'
When asked about her expectations in the new walk and possible wedding date, Cebbie shared, 'In his time, he will perfect everything. I am guided by the principle of Joyce Meyer: 'It's never too late to begin again'. '
This comes after Akothee a year ago blamed herself for revealing why Cebbie was not dating nor planning to have children in the future. Akothee had lamented that the theatrics surrounding her battle with baby daddies may have killed her dream for a family.
However, it seems Akothee's words had the opposite effect, as Cebbie has now found love and is engaged to be married. The proposal was a surprise to many, including Akothee, who had urged the public to intervene and tell Cebbie to have children.
