On a fateful night in 2020, a woman's life was forever changed when a knock on the door exposed her boyfriend's eight-year affair.
She had met her boyfriend through mutual friends when she was 25 and had been showered with love and affection. However, nine months into their relationship, he revealed that he had slept with his ex six months prior, leaving her devastated.
Despite her initial heartbreak, she chose to forgive him and continue their relationship. But eight years later, everything changed when a woman knocked on their door in the middle of the night.
Her boyfriend initially lied to her, telling her that the woman was his ex and wanted him to buy her out of the property they shared. But when she pushed him for the truth, he eventually confessed that the woman was his current girlfriend, not his ex, and that they had been dating for the entire eight years of their relationship.
She was left reeling from the revelation and eventually left him, never to return. The months that followed were incredibly hard on her, and she eventually met his other partner when the three of them got a 'three-way divorce.'
It was then that she learned that their lives were eerily similar, down to travel and flights, and that she had lost eight years to a man who had spent every day lying to her.
