On July 19, 2020, the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) announced the resumption of Police Clearance Certificate services at 27 Huduma Centres across the country.

The centres, located in various counties, will begin issuing the certificates after a suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a public notice, the centres in Nandi, Nyeri, Kisumu, Kisii, Kakamega, Kajiado, Kajiado West, Isiolo, Meru, Siaya, Bungoma, Kwale, Makueni, Nyamira, Busia, Taita Taveta, and Tharaka Nithi counties will resume services.

Additionally, centres in Samburu, Kirinyaga, Homa Bay, Kilifi, Lamu, Muranga, Narok, Migori, and Vihiga counties will also resume operations.

Applicants seeking the services will be required to book an appointment, indicating the date and exact time they intend to visit the centres.

As a precautionary measure, clients are reminded to observe the Ministry of Health directives on the prevention of COVID-19.

The DCI had previously announced the resumption of services at its headquarters along Kiambu Road and at the Huduma Centre in Nairobi's Central Business District.
