On Saturday, Charles Bukeko, the popular TV star actor known as Papa Shirandula, passed away at Karen hospital.
As a die-hard fan of AFC Leopards, Papa Shirandula regularly attended the club's matches, including the intense 'Mashemeji Derby' against arch-rivals Gor Mahia.
The 12-time Kenyan Premier League champions expressed their condolences to Bukeko's family through a statement.
"We are sad to learn about the sudden death of our super fan and member Charles Bukeko. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this trying moment. Rest In Peace PAPA SHIRANDULA," the statement read.
Before his demise, Bukeko had tested positive for Covid-19. He gained fame through his comedy series on Citizen TV, Papa Shirandula.
