As the 2022 presidential election draws near, Deputy President William Ruto is leaving no stone unturned in his bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta. According to sources, Ruto has directed a special team led by Belgut MP Nelson Koech to conduct national surveys that will influence opinion polls in his favor.

The team, which includes surveyors, political scientists, and researchers, has been tasked with designing a campaign message that will portray Ruto as the preferred candidate in the Mt Kenya region. The goal is to create a narrative that Ruto has majority support in Mt Kenya and other regions, thereby giving him an upper hand in the election.

Information gathered from the surveys will be used to shape Ruto's campaign strategy and influence public opinion in his favor. The team has been directed to ensure that the data and results they relay to the public portray Ruto as having a strong following in Mt Kenya.

MP Koech, who holds a Certificate in International Relations from the Lewis Ham College in the UK, and a Diploma in Paralegal Studies, has been a key player in Ruto's campaign strategy. He has been floated as a potential pollster by Ruto several times before the idea was finally approved.

It is worth noting that Ruto's strategy is not without controversy. Critics have accused him of trying to manipulate public opinion through covert means. However, Ruto's team remains confident that their strategy will pay off in the end.
