Charles Bukeko, popularly known as Papa Shirandula, left an indelible mark on Kenya's entertainment industry, according to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
On Saturday, July 18, 2020, Bukeko passed away at The Karen Hospital, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished forever.
President Kenyatta sent a message to the family, expressing his condolences and praising Bukeko's contribution to the development of Kenya's entertainment sector.
"President Uhuru Kenyatta has condoled with the family of popular Kenyan TV comedian Charles Bukeko who passed away earlier today," a statement from State House Nairobi read.
"The President eulogized the thespian as a gifted storyteller whose contribution to the development of Kenya's entertainment sector will be cherished forever," the statement continued.
