July 18, 2020, marked a day when former radio presenter Sheila Mwanyigha opened up about her traumatic experiences with stalkers. In a recent interview, she shared how these incidents started when she was working at Nation.

Sheila revealed that one stalker was so determined that he would send her 55-60 page letters, even going as far as sending mail to her mother. He was desperate to visit her in Nairobi, despite his empty pockets, and even asked her for fare.

Sheila's management at Nation had to send someone from the security team to Mombasa to speak to the stalker's father, who revealed that the stalker was mentally ill and had dropped out of USIU. The father's pleas were the reason Sheila did not press charges.

Another incident occurred when Sheila was working at Kiss100, where an unknown man showed up at her workplace in a truck, wanting to get in. The management provided security to pick and drop her, and her drivers were accompanied by police officers.

Sheila's experiences with stalkers have left her traumatized, and she has spoken out to raise awareness about the issue.
