Charles Bukeko, a renowned comedian and actor, has left behind a legacy after succumbing to Covid-19. The news was confirmed by his family, who expressed their devastation at the loss.
According to his brother-in-law Ronald Wanyama, Shirandula had been experiencing difficulties in breathing and was rushed to the Karen Hospital, where he sadly passed away.
"It is sad that he didn’t make it out of the hospital alive. He had tested positive for Covid-19. We are devastated," Wanyama said in a statement.
Shirandula's death occurred on a day when Kenya recorded its highest number of Covid-19 infections, with 688 people testing positive for the disease in the last 24 hours.
Other notable figures, including Citizen TV's Steve Letoo, have also tested positive for Covid-19, with mass testing conducted at Royal Media Services (RMS) revealing more staff members infected.
