On Friday, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria shocked Kenyans with a Facebook post congratulating Homabay Women Rep Gladys Wanga, using vulgar words in reference to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has made significant changes to key Parliament positions, replacing Deputy President William Ruto's allies with Raila's top guns.

As a result, Kieni MP Kanini Kega (Jubilee) has been moved from the Trade and Industry Committee to the powerful Budget and Appropriations Committee, following the de-whipping of Kimani Ichungwah (Jubilee).

Homabay County Woman Representative Gladys Wanga (ODM) has taken over as the new Chairperson of the Finance and Planning Committee, replacing Jubilee Party's Kipkelion East MP Joseph Limo (Jubilee).

Mandera South MP Adan Haji Ali (Jubilee) will now chair the Trade and Industry Committee, after being moved from the Agriculture and Livestock Committee, and will be deputised by Kigumo MP Ruth Wangari Mwaniki (Jubilee).

Moiben MP Silas Kipkoech Tiren (Jubilee) has been vindicated, being elected unopposed to chair the Agriculture and Livestock Committee, a post he lost in 2018 after facing threats of ejection for working against the ruling party's preferred members.

On his Facebook post, Kuria wrote, 'Congratulations Hon Gladys Wanga, New Chair of Finance Committee. Kusema Rais alijikuna m'@ has paid off. Hongera!'
