Tragedy struck early April when gospel singer Ruth Matete's husband, Beloved John, died from severe burns sustained in a gas cylinder explosion.
Beloved John, whose real name was John Apewajoye, left behind an ex-wife, children, and his new wife Ruth, who is currently pregnant with his child.
Ruth is now facing a daunting task of settling her late husband's hospital bill, which amounts to Ksh 600,000, in order to give him a decent burial.
Thanks to a social media post, it has come to light that Ruth is in dire need of financial assistance to help her clear the bill and start a new life with her unborn baby.
According to the post, Ruth's body is currently preserved at the Kenyatta University Hospital mortuary, but her family in Nigeria has given her permission to bury him in Kenya.
