Safaricom has announced that M-Pesa services will be unavailable for 12 hours starting 10pm Saturday, July 18 to 10am on Sunday, July 19.
The telecommunications company made the announcement in a statement on Twitter, citing the need for system enhancements and maintenance.
According to the statement, all M-Pesa services including airtime purchase will be temporarily unavailable during the maintenance period.
However, the timing of the maintenance activity has been planned to result in the least of inconvenience to customers, with Safaricom apologizing for any inconvenience that may be caused.
