On a night that will be etched in the memories of many, reality star Tamar Braxton was rushed to the hospital on Thursday, July 16, 2020, after her boyfriend found her unresponsive in their hotel room at the Ritz Carlton Residences in Downtown Los Angeles.
According to reports, Tamar's boyfriend, David Adefeso, a Nigerian, called 911 to report the situation, stating that his girlfriend had been drinking and had also taken an unknown amount of prescription pills.
David's call to 911 sparked a medical emergency response, with the LAPD confirming that they received a call regarding the reality star at 9:45pm, listing her medical emergency as a 'possible overdose.'
Tamar's recent emotional state has been linked to a contract dispute she had with We TV, which may have contributed to her distress.
Her spokesperson released a statement, saying, 'Tamar has had a very tough and emotional day — more information will be coming in the next few days. Please pray for her.'
