Comedian and radio presenter Jalang'o has finally broken his silence on the recent scandal surrounding his 'Boys Club' WhatsApp group. In an interview with Kiss 100, Jalang'o explained that the allegations made against him and his friends were blown out of proportion.
According to Jalang'o, two of his friends in the group were single and needed a push to settle down, which explains the pictures of different women in the group. He stated that the group was an avenue for his friends to network and find potential partners, and that the conversations were taken out of context.
Jalang'o also theorized that someone with an ulterior motive got hold of one of the boys' phones and took pictures of their chats, which were then shared on social media. He claimed that none of the members of the group leaked the conversations, and that they are all still close friends.
After the scandal broke, Jalang'o and his friends faced a backlash from netizens who accused them of taking advantage of vulnerable women. However, Jalang'o has maintained that they were misunderstood and that the group was not a platform for predatory behavior.
It's worth noting that this incident occurred roughly two months after the initial exposé by YouTuber Edgar Obare, who made damning allegations against Jalang'o and his 'Boys Club' accusing them of cheating on their partners with numerous women across Nairobi.
