Kenya Surpasses 12,000 COVID-19 Cases, 5-Month-Old Baby Infected

On July 17, 2020, Kenya's COVID-19 cases surpassed 12,000, with 389 new infections reported in the last 24 hours.

According to Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, 3,545 samples were tested over the same period, bringing the total samples tested to 233,641.

The youngest case is a 5-month-old infant, while the oldest is 95 years old, with 260 males and 129 females among the new cases.

Health CS Mutahi Kagwe made the announcement during the daily Covid-19 briefing at Murang'a.
