July 17, 2020 - Barcelona's title hopes are all but over, with the club's recent form leaving fans and players frustrated by a series of errors that have cost them the La Liga title.
The team was in pole position for a third consecutive title when the campaign restarted in June, but have since drawn three of their nine games, while Real Madrid have been on a relentless run of victories.
Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has acknowledged that the team's errors have cost them the title, saying, "If we have lost the league it's because we let it slip away."
He added, "You can look for excuses and point to what happened in other games (involving Real) but we have to be aware that we let it escape due to our own errors."
The team's chaotic campaign has been marked by a managerial change and a scandal affecting the club's president and hierarchy, and it is likely to end with no domestic silverware for the first time since the 2007-08 season.
