Nancy Janet Kabui Gathungu has been appointed as the new Auditor General, taking over from Edward Ouko who retired almost a year ago.
On Friday, July 17, 2020, Chief Justice David Maraga presided over her swearing-in ceremony at the Supreme Court, marking the beginning of her tenure.
The appointment was approved by the National Assembly's Finance and National Planning Committee earlier in the week.
