Published on July 17, 2020, a report by Kenyanbulletin.com revealed that a Citizen TV reporter, Stephen Letoo, had tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the report, Letoo had hosted a party at his residence in Syokimau to celebrate the 1st birthday of his son, which was attended by several of his friends and relatives, including big names from Citizen TV such as Gatete Njoroge, Chemutai Goin, and Elphas Lagat.
The party, which began at 2pm on Saturday and went on till Sunday morning, featured plenty of food and drinks, dancing, and singing.
However, the celebration took a turn for the worse when a lady who supplied alcohol to the residence was reportedly the first to test positive for the virus.
When questioned about her contacts, she mentioned Letoo, who subsequently went for a test and was also confirmed positive.
The incident has raised concerns about the spread of COVID-19, particularly in the context of social gatherings and close contact with others.
