Coast-based singer Tierra Gee has been making waves with her latest song, 'Mtaniroga', produced by her husband Andreas Roll. The song, released under Tierra Roll Music, directed by Andreas, speaks about the challenges of the pandemic on their relationship.
According to Tierra, who took a hiatus to raise her two kids in Mombasa, the pandemic has come between them. She expressed her longing for her husband, saying, 'Corona must go away! Hasn’t been easy without him around to take his rightful place.'
Tierra, who has a girl, Helena Kyra Roll with Andreas, also praised her husband's multi-faceted personality, saying, 'He is a politician, architect and engineer and meeting him has been like a fairy tale. He makes me happy as he has not only been a father to Kyra, but also to Tyra.'
Meanwhile, Nyege Nyege Festival has teamed up with Kenyan event organising camp, Shrap Nite, to host this year’s edition of the festival. The festival will be held both virtually and physically over four days, from September 3.
Shrap Nite is an event organisation company owned and managed by Kenyan urban rap group ADF, which will represent the Kenyan stage in this year’s party. ADF CEO Musau Mumo expressed his excitement about the festival, saying, 'It’s going to be a historic moment for the world as this gig will transform how festivals can be done in light of a pandemic.'
