On July 16, 2020, the Nation reported on the growing trend of property developers embracing new technologies to stand out in the competitive market.

Stone Arts Kenya, a company founded and directed by Pankaj Sakhuja, has successfully completed the Australian High Commission Nairobi offices project, which has significantly raised the profile of the company.

According to Mr. Sakhuja, the successful completion of the project has led to a high demand for the company's services, with clients referring others to them after seeing the quality of their work.

Driven by the need to provide an effective and innovative solution for construction professionals, Stone Arts Kenya has carved a niche in dry cladding, a method that uses sandstone as the cladding material and stainless steel clamps to hold them in place.

This innovative solution has allowed the company to develop state-of-the-art designs for high-rise buildings, fireplaces, fountains, and water features for personalized spaces.

Stone Arts Kenya has also specialized in building flooring design known as stamped concrete, which is a type of concrete that is patterned or embossed to resemble brick, slate, flagstone, stone, tile, wood, and various other patterns and textures.

The company is using technology to transform the housing sector interior flooring, and to cope in this competitive market, they have to understand the needs of their clients and execute projects that guarantee quality and safety.

Mr. Sakhuja noted that one of the greatest advantages of dry cladding is its safety, with the likelihood of stone falling down over the years being remote.

Most of Stone Arts Kenya's claddings are UV and water proof, making them suitable for both interiors and exteriors.

The company offers a wide selection of natural stone products, including granite, sandstone, limestone, slate, travertine, and marble, which are imported from various geographical regions in India, Turkey, and Europe.

Mr. Sakhuja also mentioned that all their colors are imported from Germany, which means they do not crack or fade due to exposure to sunlight or too much washing.

Stone Arts Kenya has employed 75 people in Kenya and has an office in Westlands and a factory in Ngong where they fabricate stone building materials and stone garden ornaments, fountains, planters, and architectural stone in traditional, classical, and contemporary styles.

The company has sister companies in India and Cameroon and has recently diversified into Rwanda and Uganda.
