Published on July 16, 2020, media personality Betty Kyallo has shared her experiences dating Muslim men, highlighting the challenges that came with it.

Speaking in an interview with True Love in 2017, Betty Kyallo opened up about her relationship with a man named Hassan, saying, 'He was going through the same thing, a separation, and we connected on that level. We tried to have something and it gave me comfort because we understood where we were with each other.'

However, the relationship eventually ended due to cultural and religious differences. Betty Kyallo explained, 'We had a culture clash and a religious clash. I also wanted to be a strong woman; I wanted to make something for myself and my daughter. I wanted to start a business because I am young and energetic. But he wanted someone who was chilled; there was conversation of me quitting my career and just staying at home.'

Two years later, Betty Kyallo hooked up with a Somali man, another Muslim, but their relationship also ended. She reflected on the experience, saying, 'It was a painful discovery, and I knew it was going to hurt once again, but I had to walk. I left with what was mine and gave him what was his and we parted ways peacefully in December 2016.'

Despite her past experiences, Betty Kyallo remains optimistic about love, as evident in her social media posts. In March this year, she wrote, 'WHEN YOU CHASE YOUR HAPPINESS UNAPOLOGETICALLY! NO MATTER TRIBE, STATUS, RELIGION ETC… I LOVE THIS. POWER TO EVERYONE WHO IS AUTHENTIC AND SELF-PRESERVING. NO TO TOXIC SITUATIONSHIPS AND ENVIRONMENT. YOU LIVE ONCE. REMEMBER GOD IS LOVE.'
