On July 16, 2020, Maina Kageni, a renowned radio presenter, made a public promise to support struggling Tanzanian artist Mr Nice.
Mr Nice, whose real name is Lucas Mkenda, had relocated to Nairobi two years ago after failing to compete with popular Tanzanian artists like Diamond Platinumz and Ali Kiba.
According to Kageni, he plans to pay for Mr Nice's studio fees and work with top producers such as Ayo Lizer and Magix Enga.
Mr Nice, known for his hit song 'Fagilia,' which was released 15 years ago, had previously accused his compatriots of mocking him on social media.
He had relocated to Uganda but later moved to Kitengela, where he has maintained a low profile and reportedly avoids interviews.
