Redmi 9A: A Budget-Friendly Smartphone for Kenya ¶
On July 16, 2020, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 9A, a budget-friendly smartphone that boasts impressive specifications. The device is expected to be available in Kenya starting at KES. 9,999.
The Redmi 9A features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 720 x 1600 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It also has a single 13MP rear camera with PDAF and a single 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Under the hood, the Redmi 9A is powered by a MediaTek Helio G25 chipset, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The device also features a non-removable 5000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support.
The Redmi 9A supports 2G, 3G, and 4G networks, as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS with A-GPS. It also has an infrared port and a USB 2.0 Type-C reversible connector.
The device is available in three color options: Granite Gray, Peacock Green, and Sky Blue.
