Former Gor Mahia midfielder Khalid Aucho is facing a salary dispute with Egyptian side Misr El Makkasa, which could lead to the termination of his contract.
Aucho, a Ugandan international, joined the Egyptian club in July 2019 as a free agent after a short stint at Indian Churchill Brothers FC.
According to Australian-based agent Stevenson Kakooza, who manages Aucho, the club has not been paying the midfielder for several months, and he is running out of patience.
"Khalid Aucho is filing for termination of the contract because he demands seven unpaid months with the amount coming to Sh300 million," Kakooza told Kawowo Sports.
Aucho's agent, Geoffrey Solo Kayemba, has already submitted a complaint to the club, as well as to the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA), Egypt Football Association (EFA), CAF, and FIFA.
The player continues to train with the club despite the salary dispute, but the team has yet to respond to the accusations.
Many Egyptian football clubs have been financially affected by the coronavirus pandemic, which has halted sporting activities globally.
