Legendary Tanzanian musician Mr Nice has been living in Kitengela, seeking anonymity and peace. However, his wish may not come true, as Maina Kageni has announced plans to find and support him.
According to various media reports, Mr Nice spent two years in Uganda before returning to Kenya.
Mr Nice's decision to leave Tanzania in 2018 was reportedly due to claims that Tanzanians mocked him. He expressed his frustration on Instagram, saying, 'I prefer staying where I make money. Or do you (Tanzanians) prefer I stay home so you keep laughing at me? That is not appropriate, our President John Magufuli urges us to continue working hard and stop gossiping.'
Despite his claims of falling on hard times, Mr Nice has tried his luck in three East African nations, including Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya.
However, a source close to Mr Nice has revealed that he is doing okay but prefers to keep a low profile. Classic 105 breakfast radio host Maina Kageni has other plans, though. He has announced that he will pay for Mr Nice's studio fees and work with top producers such as Ayo Lizer and Magix Enga.
As Maina Kageni's search for Mr Nice begins, fans are rallying behind the musician with the hashtag #IfikieMrNicePlease!
