Published on July 16, 2020
Superfoam Ltd, a mattress manufacturer, has donated high-quality mattresses to Ruben Health Centre in Nairobi's Mukuru Kwa Njenga informal settlement to improve the comfort and hygiene of new mothers.
The centre, which has been in service for about two years, has seen a high demand for maternity services from the neighbouring community, outstripping its capacity.
With the donation, the health centre will now be able to admit more patients and provide them with a comfortable surface to rest on, promoting quick recovery.
"At Superfoam we want to ensure that everyone in Kenya gets the basic right to experience comfortable, hygienic sleep, including the less fortunate," said Meeraj Shah, CEO, Superfoam Limited.
Frank O'shea, the Facility Director, expressed gratitude for the donation and pledged to ensure it served the right purpose.
"We are very thankful to Superfoam Limited for this donation, we will ensure the donation serves the purpose of cushioning and providing hygienic and comfortable sleep to mothers visiting the facility," O'shea stated.
