On July 15, 2020, Atheists in Kenya announced plans to establish a TV and radio station in the country to promote their anti-theistic views.
The society's president, Harrison Mumia, is leading the initiative and has called on the public to share their thoughts and offer support.
'We want to set up an atheist TV/radio station in Kenya, so that we can have our own conversations,' Mumia said, adding that those interested in supporting the project can email him at [email protected] or [email protected].
The move has sparked mixed reactions from Kenyans, with some expressing support and others opposing the idea.
Notably, the society has been involved in various charitable activities, including offering to pay school fees for a bright young boy who scored 401 marks in the 2019 KCPE exams at Emining Primary School in Baringo county.
