Published on July 15, 2020, Betty Bayo has opened up about her marriage to Pastor Victor Kanyari, exposing the truth behind their union.
Bayo, a Kenyan musician, revealed that she made a grave mistake by moving in with Kanyari just three weeks after they met, without any formal wedding or legal documents.
"Though I was still a Christian, and still saved, I moved in with a man 3 weeks after we met with no wedding or anything legal ata affidavit hakuna (not even an affidavit)," Bayo stated in an interview on her YouTube Channel.
She claimed that Kanyari would often tell her to lie about their union, saying they had tied the knot in a private ceremony, to anyone who asked about their relationship.
The couple's marriage was marked by frequent fights, and Bayo revealed that she got pregnant while in the union.
"Nilienda come-we-stay sorry, I mean come-we-fight. I moved in with a man whose full names I barely even knew. Everyday things were unfolding but I did not keep the social distance. I got pregnant," explained the hit maker.
Bayo has since moved on from the marriage and is no longer in love with Kanyari, despite posting heart-warming messages on social media about their children.
