On July 15, 2020, the high court adjourned the murder case of Human rights lawyer Willy Kimani and two others after the judge raised concern over the lack of a conducive court that will accommodate all parties.

High Court Judge Lady Justice Jessie Lesiit expressed her concerns about the small tent provided by the Judiciary, which she said could not hold everyone while adhering to the MOH directives on social distancing.

She adjourned the matter to July 20 and apologized to the lawyers for the inconvenience.

The judge had requested a tent that can hold one hundred people, but instead, a small tent was provided.

Four administration police officers and a police informer are charged with the murder of the lawyer, his client Joseph at Mwendwa, and driver Joseph Muiruri.

The case had been on hold for a long time due to the effects of COVID-19.

The Judiciary has until Monday to provide a tent that can accommodate everyone.
