COVID-19: Kenya Records 461 New Infections, 51 Recoveries, and 7 Fatalities

Kenya's Ministry of Health has confirmed 461 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the national tally to 11,252, as of July 15, 2020.

During a press briefing, Ministry of Health Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Dr. Rashid Aman announced the new infections were confirmed after 4,261 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

Out of the 461 new patients, 432 are Kenyans and 29 are foreigners, aged between one year and 86 years old.

The new infections were distributed across various counties, with Nairobi recording the highest number of cases at 248, followed by Machakos with 97 cases.

At the same time, 51 more people have recovered from the COVID-19, bringing the total number of national recoveries to 3,068.

Unfortunately, 7 more patients have succumbed to the respiratory disease, bringing the total number of fatalities to 209.
