On July 15, 2020, Ugandan international Khalid Aucho's contract with Egyptian side Misr El Makkasa was at the center of a salary dispute.

According to Australian-based agent Stevenson Kakooza, Aucho's club had not been paying the defensive midfielder for several months, prompting him to file for contract termination.

“Khalid Aucho is filing for termination of the contract because he demands seven unpaid months with the amount coming to Sh300million,” Kakooza told Kawowo Sports.

Aucho joined Misr El Makkasa in July 2019 as a free agent after a short stint at Indian Churchill Brothers FC.

Despite the challenges, Aucho continues to train with the club, while the team remains silent on the matter.

Many Egyptian teams have struggled financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on global sporting activities.
