On July 9, 2020, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho returned to the country with Suna East MP after visiting Raila Odinga in Dubai, where he had undergone minor surgery.
Just six days later, Governor Joho shared a video of himself driving Raila Odinga around Mombasa, saying he was very careful while driving his boss.
“Do you know how it feels to drive your boss around? Today I have been very careful while driving him,” Governor Joho said in the video.
Mr. Odinga, seated on the front passenger’s seat, was captured on Governor Joho’s phone, but his conversation with the governor was inaudible.
According to the video, Governor Joho was doubling up as ODM party Deputy leader at the time.
