On July 15, 2020, Deputy President William Ruto visited the Computer for Schools Kenya (CFSK) workshop in Utawala, Nairobi County, to strengthen the government's partnership with the organization.

The partnership aims to equip institutions with advanced learning tools, which will widen the thought process and stimulate new ideas among youths, according to Ruto.

Speaking at the workshop, Ruto said, “We appreciate that young people are integral players in the transformation of our country. On that account, the Government is strengthening its partnership with Computer for Schools Kenya to equip institutions with advanced learning tools that will widen the thought process & stimulate new ideas.”

Computer for Schools Kenya, in partnership with WEEE Centre, refurbishes and repairs electronics, offers training to communities on electronic waste management and ICT hardware and software.
