Kenya Reports 461 New Covid-19 Cases

On July 15, 2020, Kenya's Ministry of Health reported 461 new coronavirus cases after testing a sample size of 4,261 within a 24-hour period.

The new infections pushed the country's caseload to 11,252, with a total of 235,425 samples tested.

According to CAS Rashid Aman, the 461 cases comprised 432 Kenyans and 29 foreigners, with seven fatalities reported, bringing the death toll to 209.

The youngest case was a one-year-old, while the oldest was 86 years old.

Nairobi led the way with 248 cases reported, followed by other regions.

Dr. Aman also announced that 51 patients had been discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of discharges to 3,068.
