On July 27, the Premier League's summer transfer window will officially open, marking the beginning of a 10-week period that will allow top-flight clubs to trade with English Football League (EFL) clubs and loan or sign players permanently.
However, transfers between Premier League clubs will not be possible during this time. The window will close on October 5, as recommended by UEFA for the closure of registration periods across Europe.
Following consultation with the EFL, the Premier League has also agreed to add a domestic-only window from October 5 to October 16. This will give EFL clubs an extra two weeks to conduct domestic business.
Subject to FIFA's approval, the new transfer window will run concurrently with the 2019/20 league season, which is set to finish on July 27.
