On July 15, 2020, the Ministry of Health in Kenya confirmed 461 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the total number of cases recorded so far to 11,252.
According to Health CAS Rashid Aman, the new cases were identified from 4,261 samples tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of samples tested in the country to 235,425.
Of the new cases, 320 were males and 141 were females, with all but 29 being Kenyan nationals.
Unfortunately, the death toll from Covid-19 in Kenya rose to 209 after 7 more fatalities were confirmed.
Health CAS Rashid Aman also highlighted the risks facing healthcare workers in the battle against the pandemic, noting that 450 health workers had tested positive for Covid-19 to date.
