Manchester United's summer transfer plans are taking shape, with the club ready to sell six first team players to raise funds for new signings.
The Red Devils have put Alexis Sanchez, Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Jesse Lingard, and Diogo Dalot on the transfer list, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen to bolster his squad at Old Trafford.
The Norwegian manager has been specific about the type of player he wants at the club, looking to implement a fast-paced attacking style.
Two of the players on the transfer list, Sanchez and Smalling, have spent the year away on loan in Italy, with Roma understood to be keen on making Smalling's move permanent.
Despite those plans, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has warned against expecting big deals this summer, citing the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
"We have always believed that our commercial model gives us greater resilience than most clubs and we are grateful for the enduring support of our commercial partners in helping us achieve that," Woodward said.
"However, nobody should be under any illusions about the scale of challenge facing everyone in football and it may not be ‘business as usual’ for any clubs, including ourselves, in the transfer market this summer."
