Comedian Paul Wakimani has moved Kenyans to tears after revealing that he has been battling depression for the last three years.
Wakimani's struggles began after the death of his best friend Ayeiya in a road accident in 2017. The comedian, who was a regular on Churchill Show, has been lying low in the past few years.
Wakimani's friend and fellow comedian Zeddy revealed his sad state of life last week, leaving many touched. Zeddy alleged that Wakimani has been battling depression since the accident and has been contemplating selling his kidney due to financial struggles.
Speaking about his current life status, Wakimani said, 'I have been going through depression for the last three years and it hasn’t been an easy road for me.'
Wakimani also revealed that he was going through depression during his time on Churchill Show. He alleged that the show's creative director, Victor Ber, embarrassed him in front of other comedians in Nakuru.
Wakimani said, 'While on Churchill Show at some point I felt that we were falling out coz of one or two things. First, I was called at 2 am and told to go for a show in Nakuru. When I got there, the creative director (Victor Ber) ASKED ME “UMECOME KUFANYA nini hapa na tumetoka na wasanii Nairobi?”'
Wakimani's struggles have been ongoing since the accident, and he has been trying to pick himself up and move on. However, he alleges that the incident left him with a lot of pain and depression.
