Standard Group Appoints Christopher Kulei as Non-Executive Director

On July 14th, 2020, Standard Group Plc welcomed Christopher Kulei as a Non-Executive Director, marking a significant addition to the company's board.

Mr. Kulei's impressive background includes serving as an Executive Director at Sian Roses Group of farms, where he also sits on the Marketing and Operations Committee.

He has also held positions as a Non-Executive Director at Chemusian Farm, Liaison Group, and the Kenya Flower Council, demonstrating his expertise in various fields.

Mr. Kulei holds a Master's degree in international politics and economics from Kingston University in the UK and a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Hult International School in London.

According to Millicent Ng'etich, Standard Group Company Secretary, 'The Board takes this opportunity to welcome and congratulate Mr. Kulei on his appointment.'

Interestingly, Mr. Kulei's father, Joshua Kulei, still owns a substantial stake in Standard Group, which operates the Standard newspaper, Radio Maisha, and KTN television.

Joshua Kulei is one of the largest shareholders in the company, alongside the late President Moi and his son Gideon Moi.
