July 15, 2020 - TikTok has become a hub for creative expression in Kenya, with users constantly seeking new ways to showcase their talents.

With its easy-to-use video capturing and editing tools, TikTok has made it possible for users to create a diverse range of short videos featuring special effects, stickers, and other cool features.

Building on this momentum, TikTok has launched its #TikTok101 campaign, aimed at empowering users to take control of their creativity and unlock their full potential.

The campaign features helpful tips and tricks for users to become more familiar with the app's features, including using effects like 'green screen' and 'freeze-frame', adding text to videos, and mastering transitions.

TikTok is also calling on local creators to share their own tips and tricks for new users to follow and improve their skills.

According to Boniswa Sidwaba, TikTok Content Operations Manager, Africa, the platform is the perfect place for users to express their creative ideas on the go and connect with a wider community.

“By using the platform's easy-to-use video capturing and editing tools, the possibilities are truly endless. For first-time or novice users, setting up an account and creating that first official TikTok video can seem quite daunting,” says Sidwaba.
