Published on July 15, 2020, Akothee has responded to allegations that she did not contribute to Lady Maureen's funeral arrangements.

According to Akothee, she had volunteered to buy a coffin, clothes, and hire a hearse to transport Lady Maureen's remains to her final resting place.

However, Akothee claims that she was accused of insisting on buying Lady Maureen's coffin and refusing to take any other responsibility, despite other artists contributing to the burial arrangements.

Akothee shared a lengthy post detailing her efforts to help with Lady Maureen's funeral, including volunteering to buy a coffin, clothes, and hire a hearse.

She also shared a conversation with Lady Maureen's mother, where she asked what was needed for the burial arrangements and was told that no one had shown up to contribute.

Akothee then offered to take care of the coffin, hearse, and last respect clothes, and even sent her mother to choose a coffin for Lady Maureen.

However, Akothee claims that she was still accused of not contributing to Lady Maureen's funeral arrangements.
