According to reports, Tecra Muigai's ex-boyfriend, Omar Lali, is expected to undergo a mental evaluation at Garissa Referral Hospital before facing charges related to her murder.
High Court Judge Roselyn Korir made the announcement on July 14, 2020, stating that Lali would be taken to the hospital for the evaluation.
It is alleged that Lali and Tecra Muigai's other boyfriend were arguing before the incident occurred. The two were reportedly arguing over Tecra Muigai before Lali allegedly pushed her to her death from the balcony of their Lamu home.
As the investigation unfolds, it is clear that Lali remains the prime suspect in Tecra Muigai's murder.
On July 16, 2020, Lali is set to appear in court to face charges related to Tecra Muigai's murder.
