Huduma Centres in Nairobi to Undergo Fumigation

As the number of Covid-19 cases continues to rise in Nairobi, Huduma centres in the city will be temporarily closed for fumigation. The Ministry of Public Service and Gender announced the closure, citing the need to provide a safe environment for customers and staff.

According to the Ministry, the closure will take place in different dates across Huduma centres. The first centre to be closed is Huduma Centre GPO, which will start the fumigation process on July 14, 2020.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe reported 189 new cases of the virus on Monday, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 10,294. Of these new cases, 147 were from Nairobi County, bringing the total to 5,637, followed by Mombasa at 1,728 cases.
