Published on July 14, 2020, President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration has come under fire from a disgruntled Jubilee Member of Parliament, Alice Wahome.

Wahome, who was recently removed as the chairperson of the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee, expressed her discontent with the current state of affairs within the Jubilee party.

Addressing the press, Wahome warned the President to be cautious when appointing new members to replace those who were kicked out of various committees, including herself.

She lamented that the Jubilee party is being dealt a raw deal by sharing its positions with the opposition, as witnessed during the recent purge in Jubilee.

“The governance structure according to our constitution has the majority and minority. I want to advise the president against allowing the appointment of minority members of parliament into the positions which we in the majority lost,” stated Wahome.

Wahome's comments come two weeks after she and 15 other Jubilee MPs were ejected from their respective Parliamentary committees.

Among those shown the door included Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, Laikipia Woman Representative Catherine Waruguru, and Bomet Woman Representative Joyce Chepkoech Korir.
