On July 14, 2020, the entertainment scene in Kenya began to slowly return to life as the government eased some of the containment measures in place to combat Covid-19.

One of the first events to take place was the re-branded girl band Nadra's EP 'Love Teaser' listening party at Club Onyx along Ngong road.

Nadra, comprising Raych and Alexis, formerly known as Linda, are best known for performing covers of international songs.

The duo invited a handful of guests, including celebrities and media personalities, to the listening party, which started at 3 pm.

Guests were treated to music sessions by DJ Tbone, who played a mix of 'old skul' music and Kenyan jams.

Speaking to Nairobi News before taking to the stage, Nadra revealed that they re-branded from Linda to Nadra after a fallout with their former management.

According to the duo, they left Robert Waweru's outfit Linda Entertainment in 2018 due to financial and management issues.

Nadra's name is derived from the Swahili word meaning 'rare.'

When they stepped onto the stage at 4 pm, they delivered a rare performance that thrilled the sizeable crowd.

During their one-hour performance, Nadra sang songs such as 'Caramel Thighs,' 'Uuu!,' 'Feel Fire,' 'Bure,' 'Believer,' and 'Teramoss,' all from their new EP.

They also performed covers of songs like 'Making Me High' (Toni Braxton), 'All Night Long' (Mary J. Blige), 'Baby Baby' (Brandy), and 'Water Runs Dry' (Boys II Men).

On stage, Nadra was backed by the energetic Gravity band, with notable celebrities like Utawezana producer Ricobeats and radio presenter Linda Nyangweso in attendance.

Nadra first gained fame in 2017 as Linda, captivating audiences with their angelic voices and stirring stage performances.
