On July 14, 2020, Kenya confirmed 497 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total number of infections to 10,791.
According to Ministry of Health Chief Administrative Secretary Dr. Mercy Mwangangi, the new cases were confirmed after testing 4,922 samples over the last 24 hours.
Of the 497 new cases, 480 are Kenyans and 17 are foreigners, all aged between 2-81 years.
The cases are distributed across various counties, with Nairobi recording the highest number of cases at 292, followed by Kiambu with 62 cases.
Seventy-one more people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 3,017.
Five more patients have succumbed to the coronavirus disease, pushing the number of fatalities recorded in the country to 202.
