July 14, 2020 - TikTok has become a hub for creative talent in Kenya, with users showcasing their skills through short videos featuring special effects, stickers, and other cool features.
Building on this momentum, TikTok has launched the #TikTok101 campaign, which aims to empower users to take control of their creativity and become more familiar with the app's features.
The campaign includes tips on using effects such as green screen, freeze-frame, adding text, and master transitions, among others. Local creators are also encouraged to share their own tips and tricks for new users to follow and improve their skills.
According to Boniswa Sidwaba, TikTok Content Operations Manager, Africa, the platform is perfect for users to express their creative ideas on the go and connect with a wider community. 'Getting started and becoming a pro is super easy,' she says.
