Manchester United's hopes of breaking into the top four were thwarted by a stoppage-time equalizer from Michael Obafemi, as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Southampton at Old Trafford on July 13, 2020.

Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford had given United the lead, but Obafemi's late goal denied them all three points.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was left frustrated by his team's inability to see out the win, saying, "It was the worst time to concede a goal but it happens in football. We have won so many games in that way. It is all part of the learning for this team," as quoted by Mirror UK.

He added, "But we probably didn't deserve three points today. Southampton are a good team, they run, and run and chase. We never got into our rhythm today," highlighting the visitors' high-intensity press.

With three matches remaining in the season, Solskjaer is keen for his players to learn from their mistakes and improve their performance.

United will look to bounce back from this draw when they take on relegation-threatened Aston Villa in their next league fixture.
