On July 14, 2020, Vivo V19 officially launched in Kenya, marking a significant milestone for the brand in the East African market. The device is now available for purchase at Ksh40,999, following a pre-order period that lasted almost three weeks.
The Vivo V19 boasts an impressive array of features, including a Dual Punch Hole Camera, an Ultra O Screen design with an in-display fingerprint sensor, and an AMOLED screen. The device is available in two color options: Gleam Black and Sleek Silver.
The front camera of the Vivo V19 features a 32MP main camera and an 8MP super wide-angle lens, while the rear camera comprises a 48MP main camera, 8MP super wide-angle camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP Bokeh camera. The front camera also supports a wide-angle selfie of up to 105 degrees, with a built-in AI algorithm that corrects wide-angle distortion for authentic and dazzling shots.
Both the front and rear cameras are equipped with special modes to capture stunning photos at night. The front camera's Super Night Selfie mode allows users to take clear and beautiful selfies set against the backdrop of a nighttime city skyline or the countryside's starry sky.
“Having the device available in the market will now have Kenyans access our products at their convenience, which is in line with our vision of providing every Kenyan with affordable yet sophisticated devices with a great experience,” vivo Kenya CEO Arthur Xian said.
The Vivo V19 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 712 processor, with 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM. It also packs a 4500mAh battery capacity, which comes with 33W vivo FlashCharge 2.0 technology that enables a 0 to 54 per cent charge in just 30 minutes.
