On July 14, 2020, social media star Nicole Thea's Instagram page announced the tragic loss of the 24-year-old and her unborn son, Reign, who was eight months pregnant.
The couple, Nicole and her partner Boga, had been documenting their pregnancy journey on social media, sharing updates and milestones with their fans.
Just days before the announcement, Boga had posted a heartwarming video of him dancing next to a pram, excitedly anticipating the arrival of their son and the fun times they would have together.
Reign was named by Nicole, who had been keeping her fans up-to-date on her pregnancy through regular posts on her YouTube channel and Instagram page.
Several videos Nicole had filmed before her death will be published on her YouTube channel, as confirmed by her mum in a statement.
As news of Nicole's passing spread, tributes poured in from fans and fellow influencers, including Ms Banks, Love Island star Alexandra Cane, and choreographer Sherrie Silver, who expressed their shock and sadness at the loss.
